International Armored Group (IAG) , a defense equipment supplier, will build an armored vehicle factory in the Industrial Zone of the Black Sea city of Burgas . The first turf for the new factory, which will meet NATO specifications, will be delivered in March. The initial investment will amount to 20 million leva and the local government in Burgas will finance the construction of the necessary infrastructure. Preparations for the project began in early 2022. The future factory will cover 150,000 square meters. A solar photovoltaic system on its roof will contribute to the factory’s energy efficiency.

Georgian police on Tuesday said law enforcement officers had arrested 45 individuals, including 23 drug dealers, for sale, purchase, possession and smuggling of drugs across the country “over the recent period”. Teimuraz Kupatadze, the head of the Central Criminal Police department, told local media 14 foreign individuals were among those arrested. Kupatadze also said police officers had seized “especially large amounts” of heroin, cocaine, alpha PVP, buprenorphine, methamphetamine and other drugs while searching the individuals, as well as residential houses and vehicles related to them.
