Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Bulgarian National Assembly Chair Rosen Zhelyazkov on Friday discussed trade, economic relations and perspectives of future cooperation in their meeting in the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi.

The Administration of the Government of Georgia said the meeting noted trade and economy as two of the “important areas” in the bilateral cooperation between the countries, as Bulgaria remained in the top 10 trade partners of Georgia.

The Administration said the officials expressed their willingness to expand investment cooperation in various sectors of the economy.

The body also noted the officials acknowledged their intention to continue joint efforts to “fully exploit the great potential” of cooperation, particularly in transport and communication, as two of the Black Sea region states.
