The Croatian company Span has been well known on the domestic scene for a long time now, and it’s now opened a company in Georgia.
As Poslovni Dnevnik/Josipa Ban writes, the Croatian company Span, otherwise one of the leading domestic IT companies currently operating, is expanding its operations to Georgia. As they announced on the Zagreb Stock Exchange recently, the procedure for establishing Span with its new headquarters in Georgia has now officially been initiated.
“Back when TOV Span was founded in Ukraine, we received Microsoft Licensing Solution Provider status for both Georgia and Moldova. The intention of the company following the registration of the company in Moldova, was to initiate the registration of the company in Georgia as well. Unfortunately, the global coronavirus pandemic, Russian aggression against Ukraine and threats to Georgia all required us to take special caution”, they explained from the successful Croatian company Span.
Despite the public health crisis that took the world by storm, as well as serious geopolitical issues, now the time has come to expand to thee Georgian market as well. They added from the Croatian company Span that in the last few months they have had some high quality contacts and secured everything necessary to enter the Georgian market.
“At the same time, Microsoft is consolidating and consolidating LSP partners in many markets, including the Georgian one, so this is the optimal time for us to appear on that market as an experienced medium-sized partner on a global scale,” they said from this enterprise.
They also pointed out that the company’s strategic focus is also on the markets of Eastern Europe and Central Asia, and by opening this, along with existing related companies in Ukraine, Moldova and Azerbaijan, they further confirm their aims.
This year, the Croatian company Span took over the Estonian company GT Tarkvara, which is the leading Microsoft partner in that country with rich experience in licensing and managing software assets. With this, they expanded their business to the digitally advanced markets of the Baltics and Scandinavia, where they offer their cloud and cyber security solutions to their clients.
This company’s expansion is also reflected in its overall business operations. After record business results they enjoyed back in 2022, both in terms of revenue and profitability, in the first half of this year, Span achieved a revenue growth of 17%. Last year, they earned an impressive 92.5 million euros in total.
