Bloomberg will publish articles and videos showcasing adventure travel, visitor destinations, lifestyle, cuisine and wine of Georgia through the end of 2023 in a new promotional campaign by the National Tourism Administration.

The Administration said on Friday two hosts of Sorted Food, a British YouTube channel and food community, were also involved in the promotional efforts, adding the filming had been hosted in capital Tbilisi and the eastern locations of Telavi and Tsinandali in the winemaking region of Kakheti.

Master classes on wine, churchkhela snack, khinkali dumplings and bread baking were hosted for Bloomberg presenters, who also had the opportunity to tour wineries and sample wine from a qvevri, a traditional storage vessel.

Maia Omiadze, the Head of the GNTA, hosted the visitors in Tbilisi to introduce them to the city’s historical sights.

The main products through which we present Georgia are wine, gastronomy and adventure tourism. Promotion of Georgia both in Great Britain and in EU countries, where Bloomberg is very popular, is very important for us, because it will help attract many tourists from Europe”, Omiadze said.

Benjamin ‘Ben’ Ebbrell and Jamie Spafford, Sorted Food hosts, said they had explored Georgia’s cuisine and visited Tbilisi’s historical sulphur baths, and remarked the country had a “fantastic amber wine and the best hospitality”.

Georgia’s attractions have previously been promoted on Bloomberg’s social media accounts through the GNTA campaign.
