According to him, the European Union is ready for enlargement, but countries that want to join need to be patient.
“Let’s be honest with our partners, it will take time both politically and technically. This does not mean that administrative reforms, the rule of law, the fight against corruption, which take years, have remained outside the process. That is why President Macron announced the European Political Community Initiative not as an alternative to the European Union, but as a mechanism for neighbors to be represented in the European Union by participating in our specific projects,” said Hadid.
